Nurturing Childhood Faith Through the Arts

Job Title: Coordinator- Nurturing Childhood Faith Through the Arts (NCFTA)

Department: Religion & Philosophy Music & Theatre Supervisor: NCFTA Project Director NCFTA Artistic Director


Role The NCFTA Coordinator will provide logistical support to keep the various efforts of the NCFTA Initiative running smoothly with clear communication and strong synergy among relevant Bethel departments.


This position is entirely grant funded through Lilly Endowment Inc. and is set to fund from the date-of-hire until the expiration of the grant cycle. The NCFTA Initiative grant project is set to expire on June 30 2029 upon which time the employee contract will be terminated. In the event of grant renewal a contract extension may be offered pending review and approval by Supervisor & Senior Manager and exemplary performance on the job.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain supportive relationships through BU staff the Music and Theatre Departments and communicate regularly with faculty from Religion & Philosophy Department
  • Ensure compliance of all activities projects and staffing with University policies and procedures
  • Assist in coordinating digital content for social media
  • Regularly maintain database and website for purposes of NCFTA. The database will be sortable by a variety of categories including but not limited to: alumni of various NCFTA activities current participants donors youth pastors worship pastors students student staff etc. The website will be maintained in accordance with BU needs and special projects.
  • Serve as the Agent of First Impressions for all who interact with NCFTA
  • Support the administrative needs of NCFTA including hiring paperwork of student workers for NCFTA
  • Regular punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on department needs.
  • Maintain schedules throughout each NCFTA project or activity (rooms instructors ensemble rehearsals etc. and post notifications).
  • Credit card tracking and approvals for NCFTA Faculty/Staff
  • Process Expense Reimbursements for NCFTA Cohort Churches NCFTA Faculty & Staff
  • Process contracts travel arrangements as needed (airfare hotel car rental) etc. for visiting guest artists
  • Support the Project Director and/or Artistic Director of NCFTA with administrative tasks related to compliance generating grant documents and mailing grant-related documents.
  • Attend to and maintain all priorities outlined by the grant narrative
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Principal Investigators

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and create environments conducive to the spiritual transformation of children and all NCFTA initiative participants
  • Collaboration with Cohort churches providing support for sub-grants and providing regular points of contact throughout the year for grant project leaders
  • Facilitates networking and recruitment of NCFTA initiative participants
  • Manage all details related to the execution of well-run events and programs
  • Support marketing efforts for all grant-related events
  • Work in collaboration with the Project Director Principal Investigators and BU staff to ensure that all activities events and special programs make satisfactory progress toward NCFTAs Outcomes and Performance Indicators
  • Development of appropriate assessment strategies ensuring quantitative and qualitative data collection for NCFTA events and activities; this will include data collection from participating grant Cohort churches
  • Manage the budget for all programs seeking sustainability through good stewardship of expenditures and seeking increased revenue
  • Ability to travel for peer-learning grant-related research collaborations marketing etc.
  • Recommend to the NCFTA Principal Investigators any solutions related to improving the programs of the initiative
  • Directly oversee the hiring training and work of staffing and programs related to NCFTA
  • Attend to and maintain all priorities outlined by the grant narrative
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Principal Investigators

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Associates degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Two years of administrative experience preferably in ministry education or grant-related experience.
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication administrative and organizational tasks and interpersonal interaction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Need an ability to prepare and present reports and updates.
  • Abilities to handle a large grant budget

Other Skills

  • Able to work independently organized detail-oriented cheerful flexible and willing to follow instructions both verbal and written.
  • Take pride in representing Bethel University

Physical Requirements

  • Physical capability to lift equipment up to 30lbs and push heavy equipment on castors (less than 200lb)
