Job Description

POSITION: Program Manager Meter Data and Engineering

DIVISION: Operations

DEPARTMENT: Meter Data

UNION/GRADE: Unit 9/Grade 29

Manages the overall activities of the Meter Data Unit of the Metering Program. Responsible for collecting analyzing and reporting the meter data required for the flow calculations used for allocation of MWRAs rate revenue requirements for the water and wastewater systems using revenue meters master meters and other associated equipment.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Works under the general supervision of the Manager Metering and Monitoring.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Exercises close supervision of the Project Manager Meter Data and technical and administrative staff as assigned.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

A valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operators license.

Must be available to respond to emergencies as needed. May be required to be part of an on-call rotation.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Office machines as normally associated with the use of telephone personal computer including word processing and other software copy and fax machine.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle feel or operate objects including office equipment or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in an office environment. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually a moderately quiet office setting.
