Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior accounting associate to oversee and manage daily accounting operations and support the organizations overall financial health. This role is responsible for managing a variety of accounting functions including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll processing and monthly financial reporting using QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform data entry for all accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable in QuickBooks.

Maintain accurate records of daily cash activity.

Prepare and process bank deposits in a timely manner.

Enter accounts payable invoices and reconcile credit card statements on a weekly basis.

Generate and issue accounts payable check payments and associated reports; manage annual 1099 filings.

Order and manage monthly office supply inventory.

File annual corporate and franchise taxes in compliance with regulatory deadlines.

Communicate with vendors and internal staff to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.

Assist with monthly financial closing processes and ensure accurate reporting.

Process weekly payroll including input adjustments garnishments and corrections.

Manage onboarding of new hires employee updates and benefits enrollment.

Post payroll reports to the general ledger weekly.

Maintain detailed and organized records to support financial audits and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 35 years of experience in accounting preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.

Excellent organizational analytical and communication skills.

High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.

Experience with payroll systems and HR/payroll compliance preferred.
