Job Description
Oakland School District seeks outstanding candidates for a High School teacher who will provide AG/Biology/AG Science Animal & Plant Science and Leadership in grades 9-12. Organization of classes are to be determined. This position serves as FFA Advisor for a well established Chapter.
Essential duties and responsibilities are: to Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective and implement a program of study following state and district goals/curriculum thatmeets the individual needs and development of students. Assess and report the performance of students on a regular basis and maintain such records as required by law district and building a professional relationship with colleagues. Cooperate with other members of the staff in planning district curriculum and instructional methods goals and objectives. Serves as a role model to students in the areas of appearance actions behaviors and interpersonal interactions with peers. Attends and participates in faculty meetings committees school programs open houses and in service activities as directed. Directs and assigns activities of assigned instructional assistants volunteers and other paraprofessionals. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students parents and staff. Perform such other tasksas assigned by applicant will be familiar with Positive BehaviorSupport strategies.
Preference will be given to candidates with a knowledge of and experience with Perkins and CTE Pathways.
Oakland School District ison a 4 day school -Thurs 7:30 am-4:15 pm 2 Fris/month for 6 hrs/day.
Salary Range is : $50983 - $ 79449 PERS 6% is paid by the district and offers a generous comprehensive family medical/dental/vision insurance package. Start date is August 25 2025. Position is open until filled.Applicant must hold an Oregon Teaching License with the proper endorsements.
