Job Description
Clinical Research Coord III
Bachelors degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The University of Florida Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Research Coordinator III to join our research team. This position is pivotal to advancing innovative clinical research in a fast-paced high-impact environment. The successful candidate will coordinate research projects across various stages including study initiation IRB submissions patient enrollment regulatory compliance and project closeout.
This role requires collaboration with faculty investigators research staff regulatory bodies and sponsoring agencies to ensure that studies are conducted in accordance with federal regulations UF policies and sponsor requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory & IRB Coordination
- Prepare and submit IRB protocols amendments continuing reviews and serious adverse event reports.
- Organize and maintain regulatory binders and study documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and IRB requirements.
Research Conduct & Coordination
- Oversee patient screening enrollment informed consent data collection and study documentation.
- Ensure adherence to study protocols timelines and sponsor requirements.
- Coordinate study visits procedures and Investigational Drug/Device Accountability.
- Serve as a liaison between sponsors investigators and research participants.
Staff Leadership & Development
- Supervise mentor and train new research staff and students.
- Develop training materials and manage study team schedules.
- Lead collaborative efforts with department leaders to support research activities and team development.
Scientific & Administrative Support
- Assist in protocol development feasibility assessments budgeting and proposal review.
- Support reporting audits and study closeout activities.
- Maintain inventory order supplies and manage lab operations.

Salary range is $60000 $70000 commensurate with education and experience.

Bachelors degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with clinical data management systems and database design including data entry cleaning and validation procedures.
- Prior involvement in preparing scientific manuscripts abstracts and research presentations for publication or academic conferences.
- Demonstrated ability to plan prioritize and manage multiple research projects or assignments simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex information to diverse audiences including investigators sponsors and participants.
- Proficiency in relevant software and research tools (e.g. REDCap Excel statistical software scheduling tools).
- Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines institutional policies and federal research compliance requirements (e.g. IRB HIPAA GCP).
- Proven ability to work independently exercise sound judgment and take initiative in a dynamic clinical research environment.
- Skilled in collecting analyzing and organizing data for high-quality scientific reporting and publications.
- Ability to consistently meet project deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible or extended hours as needed to meet study requirements or support participant enrollment and care.
