The Waterloo Catholic District School Board with a total student population of 38000 provides services to students in 50 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12) across the Waterloo Region.

General Description of the Program:
St. Louis Hairstyling Training Program is recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education Skills Trades Ontario and is recognized by numerous employers in the Region as a quality program.
The Hairstyling Teacher(s) will report to the Principal of St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres to teach any of the Hairstyling courses .

General Description of Duties:
Develop lesson plans and deliver curriculum to students
Use a variety of instructional strategies
Evaluate student progress provide ongoing feedback to students and complete report cards at the end of each term
Order consumable materials for the classroom and the salon
Work collaboratively with coop teachers to prepare students for their placements
Lead after school intake sessions for prospective students
Minimum Requirements:
Hold a current Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification
Have senior qualifications in the subject area (Technological Studies Personal Services/Hairstyling)
Eligible to work in Canada
Available for in-person classes
Desirable Assets:
Hold a current Ontario Trade Certification of Qualification as aHairstylist
Previous teaching experience
Have experience working in the hair industry
Location: St. Louis Main Campus 80 Young Street Kitchener
Program Hours: 8:45 11:45 AM & 12:30 3:30 PM
Hours: 30 hours per week
Rate of Pay: $55.41/hour OCT certified
