Position Summary Execute production scanning data acquisition and inspection of various hardware. Perform daily qualification and calibration of scanning equipment. Assist Engineering Design and Drafting teams in ensuring their effectiveness by utilizing various continuous improvement initiatives and through the support of inspection/product assessment activities. Training will be on the day shift. After training the schedule will be 10 p.m.-6:30 a.m. Position Responsibilities - Operate and maintain ATOS blue light scanners to capture surface and dimensional data.
- Perform blue light inspections of gas turbine components using ATOS scanner.
- Execute scan routines and perform inspections to ensure part conformance to specifications.
- Utilize CAD software.
- Use required software to process scan data.
- Maintain calibration of all equipment & calibration fixtures.
- Interface with the engineering department to coordinate inspection of parts.
- Maintain inspection results and required records.
- Perform manual inspections of parts and tools.
- Perform and support miscellaneous duties and projects assigned.
Required Qualifications - Associates degree trade school diploma or equivalent technical experience.
- 2 years experience in manufacturing and/or quality and inspection
- Scanning or metrology experience a plus
- Strong understanding of machining practices
- Technical competence including understanding software and hardware
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Excellent analytical skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
- Must read write and speak fluent English.
- Must be able to travel and work overtime as needed.
