Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with extensive experience in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services to join our IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services team. The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing deploying and managing cloud-based solutions to support our organizations needs.
Responsibilities
- Design implement and manage cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Write and maintain scripts for automation and deployment.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to ensure best practices in cloud architecture.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure services and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. JSOX GDPR).
- Plan and execute cloud migrations including lift-and-shift re-platforming and refactoring strategies.
- Support ongoing cloud operations and maintenance.
- Work closely with the development team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions.
- Maintain multiple user roles and security settings.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in Azure cloud development and management.
- Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines Azure Storage and Azure Networking.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform.
- Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Azure DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online SharePoint Online and Teams.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell Python or similar languages.
- Experience in network infrastructure database compute and storage systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
