BASIC FUNCTION
The Preschool Secretary/Instructional Aide shall be responsible for handling all communications and documents pertaining to the assigned department and assist in meeting preschool students needs.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Type all correspondence emanating from the department.
Perform necessary filing for purposes of maintaining department records.
Duplicate and disseminate materials documents etc. as initiated by the supervisor/administrator.
Provide appropriate information to the public when requested including advertising related to preschool program and child find.
Handle telephone calls for the department to the extent requested by the supervisor/administrator of the department.
Perform such routine tasks as may be necessary to ensure efficient day-to-day operation of the department.
Coordinate secretarial assignments within the department as directed by the supervisor/administrator of that department.
Perform such other tasks as assigned within that department and supervising teacher.
Frequently verify accurate data related to child find and KEDS information.
Assist in scheduling completing and following up on preschool screenings.
Perform administrative tasks within preschool data systems.
Assist in organizing due process paperwork.
Create instructional resources for students.
Assist in preschool classrooms by working with students who have challenges with mobility behavior and/or delays.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of board policy for classified personnel.
