The Academic Administrative Analyst uses professional concepts to apply organization policies and procedures to oversee a variety of ongoing administrative operational issues. Administers defined operational program. Analyzes and resolves operational problems of moderate scope.
The individual provides analytical support to several faculty as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the academic activities of the faculty offices. The individual is the initial point of contact for physicians collaborators officials and media representatives. Independent effective and accurate work skills contribute to the academic research and clinical missions of the faculty.
The Academic Administrative Analyst is assigned to work on a project basis and is expected to manage the entire problem-solving process which includes: researching and analyzing information identifying and recommending potential solutions and presenting the finished product in the form of a written recommendation or a completed project. This position requires a high level of professionalism and diplomacy particularly in dealing with sensitive issues and critical academic activities. The individual also provides back up coverage to other department analysts.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $29.05 - $53.50 (Hourly Rate).

Department Description
The Division of Cardiology is one of the largest clinical research and training divisions of the Department of Medicine (DOM) at UCSF. Within the Division are sub-specialty sections for: Adult Congenital Heart Disease; Advanced Heart Failure Transplant and Pulmonary Hypertension; Cardiac Electrophysiology; Cardio-Oncology and Immunology; Critical Care Cardiology; Echocardiography and Cardiac Imaging; General Cardiology Interventional Cardiology; and Prevention. The Division runs several clinical practices in multiple sites conducts basic and clinical research and educates medical students residents clinical fellows and postdoctoral scholars through ACGME as well as non-ACGME training programs with rotations spanning the Parnassus and Mission Bay campuses Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center. In addition the Division has significant and complex financial and administrative relationships with the Department of Medicine (DOM) and the UCSF Medical Center as well as large patient care programs in the sections noted above large clinical Federal and privately supported research programs and several faculty laboratories. The Division has over 60 full-time faculty 2 MSP physicians 12 non-faculty academics 36 clinical fellows 7 post-doctoral research fellows and 70 research support and administrative staff.
