QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Advanced secretarial and computer skills including a working knowledge of various applications.
- High school diploma.
- Previous secretarial experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-task environment.
- Maintain good rapport with coworkers and community.
- Maintain confidentiality of District and school business.
- Have an interest in education and be able to work with students.
- Such alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO:Assistant Principal
JOB GOAL: To establish and maintain a high standard of professionalism in the operation of projects initiatives and daily functions.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare letters memos reports and other communiqus for the Assistant Principal.
- Maintain discipline records and prepare discipline reports and correspondence.
- Establish and maintain student locker key file and records and assist students with locker problems.
- Assist in entering grades into the computer.
- Collect student fees and obligations.
- Distribute and collect athletic eligibility lists.
- Help organize and coordinate activity period.
- Coordinate teacher coverage when necessary.
- Assist front desk and telephone responsibilities as needed.
- Operate office machines as needed.
- Handle end of day announcements (as needed) and dismissal.
- Handle fire drill reporting and recording.
- Compose any public relations materials as assigned by building administration.
- Maintain building calendar and keep staff informed of monthly activities.
- Process facility use forms.
- Any other duties assigned by the Superintendent or their designee.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit talk and hear.
- Ability to stand walk climb balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl and move quickly when necessary to promote student learning and/or safety.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push items of 50 lbs such as pushing children in a wheelchair or moving/rearranging furniture.
SENSORY ABILITY:
- Ability to speak clearly and distinctly.
- Auditory acuity to be able to use telephone.
- Visual acuity to read correspondence and computer screen.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Indoor and outdoor environments.
TEMPERAMENT:
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Must be courteous.
- Must be cooperative congenial service-oriented and promote these qualities in the building.
- Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions.
COGNITIVE ABILITY:
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Ability to demonstrate good written and verbal skills.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to students staff and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to read write and do computations.

- Ability to exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks and problem-solving.
- Ability to use correct grammar sentence structure and spelling.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
