Job Description
- This posting will remain open until filled
- Start Date: 7 hour Staff Development to happen on July 1 or 2)
- Dates of Summer School: July7 2025 - July 31 2025 (Monday-Thursday)
- End Date: August1 2025 (4 hour teacher work day)
- Daily Schedule: 7:30 am - 12:30 pm (1/2 hour prep before or after your choice)
- Number of positions available: 6
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- This will be an amazing opportunity for students entering 5th and 6th grades to explore hands-on engineering science while developing stronger reading writing math and critical thinking skills.
- 3pathway options for students incorporating engineereing design priciples
- Theywill use an interactive unit from newly adopted Twig Science curriculum a writing unit from our 5th grade Amplify Curriculum and other learning tools from Savvas math curriculum.
- Groups will be approx 16-20 students in each class and there are two field trips planned ( week 2 and last day 7/31).
- This will be held at Tom McCall Upper Elementary in the WEST building.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Instruct students in self-contained classes;
- Development and impliment curriculum for students in Literacy Science and Math;
- Do pre- and post-assessments to evaluate students progress;
- Use data to inform instruction;
- Document skills and language proficiency growth of students;
- Work cooperatively with other staff to provide quality instruction for students;
- Effectively manage student behavior;
- Provide guidance and direction to instructional assistants;
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oregon Teachers License
- ESOL Endorsement preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- GLAD/SIOP or CM preferred
- Love of Science/Engineering
- Lego Robotics
- Principals recommendation
