Description
TheInpatient Clinical Team Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of clinical therapy services in addition to providing direct therapy services to clients. This team member will supervise therapy services consistent with practice standards aligned with best care anywhere outcomes and will function effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team for Rehab and Developmental Therapies.
What Youll Do
- Responsible for ensuring staff provide care according to the childs care plan and provide clinical care according to best practices as defined by ChildServe policy and practice manuals; performs care audits.
- Responsible for ensuring staff document accurately completely and timely.
- Serve as a preceptor for area of expertise and is responsible for ensuring newly hired staff are competent to provide care.
- Assist care team with admission and discharge processes/activities to ensure children receive needed therapy services and equipment.
- Serve as representative for rehabilitation services in care team meetings when needed.
- Responsible for ensuring adequate numbers of qualified staff to meet the needs of children within defined clinical model.
- Provide direct therapy services in area of expertise as assigned.
- Complete all necessary pre-evaluation reviews and documentation perform evaluations and document results appropriately.
- Develop individualized plan of care appropriate to meet the needs of the child/caregiver follow the plan of care written to provide appropriate treatment and communicate regularly with childs caregivers regarding progress and goals.
- Adhere to ChildServepolicies and procedures professional code of ethics state of Iowa and professional practice acts as well as regulatory and accreditation guidelines for professional conduct.
- Interact with third party payers physicians and others as needed to advocate and secure medically necessary services for clients.
What Youll Need
- Completion of an accredited Therapy education program.
- Two years of experience working as a licensed therapist in the field of pediatrics or developmental disabilities. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be licensed to practice Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy in the State of Iowa.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively in reading writing and speaking the English language.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm occasional weekend hours
