Job Description

The post is temporary / fixed term up to 31 January 2026.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Ancholme Leisure Centre and we are looking for someone who is interested in working in sports and leisure to join our team. We are recruiting to the role of Leisure Attendant (lifeguard) which involves undertaking the typical duties of a lifeguard working poolside. You will also support with the setting up of various sport and leisure operations that take place in our building - badminton trampoline table tennis as a few examples.

What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- someone who holds a current recognised pool lifesaving qualification (NPLQ)
- motivated punctual and has the ability of dealing with the public
- able to follow health and safety procedures as well as follow pool safe operating procedures
- someone who can set up and dismantle equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- someone who is able to work a shift pattern that involves working evenings weekends and bank holidays

The hours will be worked on a 3 week rota (see attached).
