Title: Advisor Project Lead the Way Coordinator (PLTW) - District

POSITION SUMMARY:

To assume the responsibility for coordinating the Project Lead the Way programming the overall account and serve as the primary point of contact for the district.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PLTW account:

  • This role is responsible for the overall account site and classroom management and serves as the primary point of contact for the account. This role is authorized on to add/remove sites and programs serves as the Site Coordinator for the building where theirprimary teaching assignmentlies collaborates with the building principal to identify Site Coordinators at other levels manages users and completes annual renewal forms and participation surveys. (Grants Coordinator is the secondary coordinator to allow for access to annual reports of the grant)

Day to Day:

  • This role is responsible for the day-to-day implementation and management of PLTW programs at a specific site.
  • Oversight for programming throughout the district.
  • This role is also responsible for managing the rollout of new courses each year to ensure awarded grant specifications are followed in conjunction with the building administration and that they meet the goals and visions of the schools.

Classroom Management:

  • This role is responsible for addressing classroom management including managing student users accessing and publishing course curriculum ensuring administration of End-of-Course (EoC) assessment and accessing EoC results with the PLTW trained staff.

End of Course Assessment (EoC):

  • All courses with an EoC must be rostered by a Program Coordinator or Site Coordinator.
  • This role is responsible for preparing staff for administering the EoC and troubleshooting alltechnical issues that could arise for testing day. (SeeEoC manualfor more information)

SKILLS/ABILITY:
1. Member of the BTA Staff
2. Experienced and knowledgeable of PLTW program requirements.

3. The PLTW District Coordinator will serve as the PLTW Site Coordinator for the school they are assigned to and eliminate the need for the PLTW Site Coordinator at that building.

SALARY: $2000 Stipend

CLASSIFICATION: BTA

REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction
