We are looking for Mechanical Assemblers for our LV Switchboard Production Team on 2nd Shift. This position will be based in Wendell NC.
As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building and assembling of Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment such as Switchgears Switchboards and Breakers.
Shift Hours: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
Hourly Rate: $19.00 $1.00 Shift Differential
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Youll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
1 year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
Experience working with standard hand and power tools both pneumatic and battery operated
Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values
Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices
Able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical components
Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
Basic proficiency in English including reading writing and speaking.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Youll make a difference by:
Assemble sub-assemblies parts kits and aftermarket parts orders including mechanical assembly of steel components.
Record job transactions read BOMs follow layouts and assembly drawings.
Set and use torque wrenches correctly adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
