Summary of position: The Occupational Therapist will provide direct therapy services to students with OT development impairments consultation to teachers parents and other professionals and diagnostic services. Education and LicensureRequired: Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy Occupational Therapy Certification ExperienceRequired: Experience working with children with mental health emotional and learning disabilitiesPreferred: 1 year experience Essential functions: focused Occupational Therapy interventions to students in 1:1 settings and/or small with teachers on OT needs of students with sensory needs and on ways of leading with parents directly and through clinical staff on OT difficulties of individual in-service education to teachers clinicians and milieu counselors on occupational therapy difficulties diagnostics and annual pre-testing and post-testing in OT development for students who have OT services on their intake/admission materials to determine OT and sensory needs of incoming formal and informal Occupational Therapy diagnostic assessment as requested and approved by LEAs and parent(s). client performance; write timely progress notes for Quarterly Progress monitor and maintain occupational therapy materials and testing full assessment reports/sensory profile based on diagnostic TEAM meetings IEP meetings and Clinical Conferences as Occupational Therapy assistants/interns as directed by the Principal; support assistant/intern in determining schedule preparing materials/activities/lessons monitoring progress of students). additional coverage to the school program as fully in in-service training programs and staff other duties as assigned
