The School of Education & Human Development (SEHD) announces a full-time position as Assistant Teaching Professor in our continuing and professional education (CPE) program ASPIRE to Teach Alternative Teacher Licensure Program. We seek educators who excel in use of instructional technology online curriculum facilitation and instructional leadership in professional learning communities coaching of practicing teachers engagement in collaborative work and a history of working with non-dominant communities.

ASPIRE to Teach is an alternative licensure program for general and special educators. We partner with Teach for America Colorado several BOCES (Boards of Cooperative Educational Services) throughout the state school districts and charter schools providing initial teacher licensure and professional learning opportunities through our fully online learning content modules candidate (teacher) coaching facilitation of professional learning communities (PLC) and portfolio assessment process.

We are seeking an Assistant Teaching Professor who will be responsible for evaluating Alternative Licensed Candidates (ALCs) for completion of work required to be eligible for Initial Teacher License in Colorado and the continued development implementation and coordination of the ASPIRE to Teach curriculum. This individual will also be responsible for service to the ASPIRE to Teach program and will have the opportunity to conduct research as part of their role.

Teaching (70%)

ALI Team and Collective Service Work 20%)

Research/scholarship/SEHD Program Collaboration (10%)

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $80000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity experience education specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
