WHATS YOUR TYPICAL DAY LIKE

As our Area Sales Manager your day involves coaching and supporting your teammates focusing on their development and performance. You work with account managers to strengthen customer relationships and drive solutions ensuring the sales process is consistently executed. You also oversee sales team staffing and recruiting drive adherence to department processes and share best practices across the organization. Collaborating with the VP of Sales and Regional Manager you set and achieve sales goals market share and financial objectives. You maintain knowledge of agriculture equipment appraise used agricultural equipment and develop sales plans for Production Ag Account Managers. Additionally you monitor competitor activity stay informed on incentive programs and support Integrated Solutions including agronomic decision support and machine optimization.


DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES

  • Knowledge of current agriculture issues
  • Proficiency with computerized tools and reports
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends
  • Ability to motivate others through coaching knowledge-sharing and modeling
  • Strong mathematical abilities
  • Excellent communication negotiation and customer relationship skills
  • Highly analytical with great problem-solving skills

Having 3 years of account management or direct sales experience in agricultural farm equipment or a related field is preferred but not required. A bachelors degree in business or an agriculture field is a plus! Our ideal candidate also has the willingness to mentor inexperienced candidates.
