Job Description

Long Term Substitute Teacher - NH Certification Required

Estimated 9/2/25-11/12/2025

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university witha minimum of a Bachelors Degree.
  • Requirements as set by the State of New Hampshire Certification Authorities and Board of School Committee regulations.
  • State of NH Teacher Certification in Elementary Education (1810 or 1811)orother approvedendorsements may be considered.


Specific Core Function:
To help 3rd Grade students learn subject matter skills and behaviors that will contribute to their development as safe respectful and responsible humans in school and in their communities.

Primary Responsibilities of the Position:

  1. Classroom Management

    • Create a positive safe and productive classroom environment.

    • Establish and enforce rules procedures and expectations for behavior.

  2. Planning and Delivering Instruction

    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.

    • Teach core subjects such as reading writing math science and social studies.

    • Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.

  3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring

    • Evaluate student performance through tests quizzes assignments and observations.

    • Track and report student progress to parents and school administrators.

    • Use assessment data to guide instruction and provide targeted support.

  4. Communication and Collaboration

    • Collaborate with colleagues specialists and support staff to enhance student learning.

    • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

  5. Professional Development

    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

    • Stay current with educational best practices and curriculum changes.

  6. Supporting Student Development

    • Foster social-emotional growth and encourage a love of learning.

    • Identify and address individual student needs including those with IEPs or 504 plans and multilingual learners.


Salary:Per Diem rate based off MEA teachers contract for experience & degree must be NHDOE certified.
