Turner Industries Group is looking for a Hotshot Supervisor to join our nested Maintenance team at a site in Deer Park TX. This person will oversee scheduling and communication for hotshot logistics personnel. This requires excellent communication and oversight skills - organizing bills of lading delivery schedules identifying priority deliveries and scheduling accordingly. Will use email phone and radio communications and interface constantly with our client. Must have a clean driving record.
NO per diem or relocation available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in/near the area.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience
- TWIC required
- Excellent computer/ communication skills
- Pre-employment qualification test/federal written driving test
- D.O.T. drug screen/card
- OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
- Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven long sleeves steel toe boots etc.)
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat safety glasses gloves respirator hearing protection safety harness with lanyard etc.)
- 40hrs must be on call and able to work overtime
- Bachelors degree preferred
General Job Description:
Oversee and organize delivery loads priorities and scheduling ensuring that orders arrive on time at correct locations.
Physical Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing into and out of truck(s); reaching in all directions handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes hands fingers and feet to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level waist level and/or overhead; carrying objects tools equipment etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
Mental Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; judging distances and slopes accurately; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
Work Environment Factors:
Location: industrial maintenance and construction sites public roadways refinery / chemical facilities and/or equipment yard
Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground levels; obstructed pathways
Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather excessive humidity rain etc.; various noise levels caused by tools machinery equipment etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
