Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the school principal in the daily operation and administration of an assigned school. This position is responsible for supervising teaching and learning creating a safe environment monitoring curriculum budget development and other duties associated with the successful operation of a school.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills and/or Abilities Required)
Must possess a Masters degree and the Virginia Postgraduate Professional License and be licensed in school administration and supervision. Five (5) years of successful experience as a teacher administrator or supervisor with some of the experience on the assigned level of employment. Such experience regarding the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license with an acceptable driving history.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone to enter data into a computer terminal; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels outdoors and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms outdoors and on the telephone; physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds to shoulder height; to bend to stoop to sit on the floor to climb stairs to walk and to reach overhead.
