POSITION #207-EXC-06-25:
Ignite Advisor
Wenatchee High School
Annual Stipend: $849 - $2324
*Stipends will be prorated on availability to fulfill all commitments
DESCRIPTION: Igniteis a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed Boomerang Projects proven high school transition program trains mentors from your junior and senior classes to be Ignite Leaders. As positive role models Ignite Leaders are mentors and student leaders who guide the freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to high school and help facilitate freshman success. Other related duties as assigned.
Ignite Advisor plans and executes Freshman Orientation and works alongside Freshman Class Advisor to plan activities throughout the school year.
QUALIFICATIONS:Current certificated staff member of Wenatchee High School staff and punctuality are important functions of this position. May require prolonged sitting or standing.
SCHEDULE:OPEN UNTIL FILLED.
UNION AFFILIATION:This position is represented by the Wenatchee Education Association.
BENEFITS:This position does not qualify for health insurance or paid leave benefits.
Reform and Control Act Requirement: The recommended applicant if not a current regular employee will be required to complete an INS I-9 form and must provide proof of employment eligibility prior to working.
Disclosure Statement and Record Check: Pursuant to Chapter 486 Washington Laws of 1987 the recommended applicant if not a current regular employee will be required to complete a disclosure form indicating whether he or she has been convicted of crimes against persons listed in the law. In addition a background check based on fingerprints will be requested from the Washington State Patrol & FBI. Employment is conditional based upon completion of the record check.
