Job Description

Ipswich Middle School is seeking a qualified dynamic and enthusiastic full time Art Educator with a passion for teaching visual arts in grades 6-8 effective August 25 2025. Ipswich Middle School seeks passionate creative and innovative candidates who value professional growth and collaborative teamwork across academic disciplines. Interested candidates must demonstrate a commitment to equity diversity and social position involves working with our 6th through 8th grade student population. Ideal candidates will have strong competency in both traditional arts (painting drawing sculpture ceramics printmaking mixed media) and digital arts (photography iPad/Procreate iMovie etc.). In addition to professional responsibilities opportunities to run after school creative art programs for students may be Include:Collaborate with a team of educators to design engaging interdisciplinary lessons and units that are aligned to the Massachusetts Standards and district curriculum expectationsDevelop artistic competence confidence and awarenessCreate a differentiated and inclusive learning environment that supports the learning styles and emotional needs of all studentsMonitor student progress using formative and summative measures and design effective interventionsCommunicate with parents and families regarding academic content expectations progress and supportDisplay student work in the school building and at two annual student art showsAttend to all professional duties and developmentQualifications:A Certified Art Education degree is required with secondary teaching experience preferred.
