Amazons Dangerous Goods (DG) organization is looking for a technical Risk Manager in the to enable new business opportunities WW multi-modally. As the worlds most customer-centric company with customers including consumers sellers manufacturers regulatory agencies and shippers world-wide Amazon has the combination of opportunity passion and resources to build the next generation of industry-leading solutions using a wide range of data-driven and intelligent technological and business capabilities.
Key job responsibilities
- Deeply understand the needs of our Operations stakeholders: You listen eectively to our business stakeholders across Fulfilment Center Operations DG Operations and Carrier partners and are able to design innovative technical solutions to resolve their pain points. Your prioritization decisions are well-reasoned and customer-based.
- Work closely with our technical team: You bring crisp clear requirements to our engineers and are fully engaged in technical discussions. In addition you partner well with our Amazon Fulfilment technology partners.
- Continuously drive forward progress: You are excellent at creating buy-in for your product vision and decisions. You keep stakeholders aligned and you proactively tackle blockers. When the path forward is ambiguous you drive toward clarity while exercising concrete judgement.
- Utilize problem-solving fundamentals excellent attention to detail a strong sense of end-to-end ownership and superb verbal/written communication skills in day to day operation.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- 6 years of compliance audit or risk management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Masters degree or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
