Job Duties
Hiram W. Davis Medical Center located in Petersburg Virginia is a medical facility providing acute medical diagnoses skilled care intermediate care and long-term care to individuals receiving services in DBHDS facilities and within the community that have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Admissions to HWDMC are generally either permanent placement or special hospitalization. Patients typically come to HWDMC as a special hospitalization for step-down to stabilize post-surgery rehabilitation or long-term care.
Hiram Davis Medical Center is now recruiting for a Wage Human Resource Assistant.** Hourly/wage employees are not eligible for benefits. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year. **
The Human Resources Assistant position plays a key role in supporting the HR department by providing administrative assistance in various HR functions. This position ensures efficient day-to-day operations of HR processes and contributes to creating a positive work environment by delivering timely and effective support to employees and management. The Human Resources Assistant will help maintain compliance with policies and regulations while assisting in maintaining employee records handling inquiries and supporting HR initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of administrative and clerical principles and practices in office management.
Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to use a computer excellent typing keyboarding and clerical skills and considerable knowledge of personnel automation.
The ability to pay close attention consistently to details multi-task and file documentation timely and correctly.
Experience with Microsoft Applications (Word Excel PowerPoint) are required.
Ability to manage work relationships be a team player and good problem-solving skills are essential.
Valid Virginia drivers license
