Position Summary:
Athena Medtech is seeking a highly motivated detail-oriented and licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our esteemed rehabilitation team. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments developing and implementing personalized evidence-based treatment plans to optimize patient mobility alleviate pain and restore functional independence for individuals recovering from injury illness or surgery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong patient-centric approach demonstrate excellent collaborative skills and be dedicated to upholding the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and establish clear measurable goals.
- Design and execute individualized treatment plans incorporating a diverse range of therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercises manual therapy techniques and various modalities.
- Provide thorough education and guidance to patients and their caregivers on home exercise programs injury prevention strategies and post-treatment care to promote long-term well-being.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions progress notes and discharge summaries ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and organizational policies.
- Actively collaborate with physicians occupational therapists and other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care.
- Continuously assess and adapt treatment plans based on ongoing patient progress feedback and evolving clinical needs.
- Uphold a safe clean and organized clinical environment strictly adhering to all infection control protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited academic program.
- Current and valid Physical Therapist (PT) licensure in the state of Pennsylvania (PA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous clinical experience in a insert relevant setting e.g. acute care outpatient inpatient rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work autonomously while also excelling as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
Schedule & Environment:
- Full-time position: 40 hours per week 5 days a week.
- Weekend rotation availability is required.
- This position is based in a large 151-bed facility.
