Position Title: Administrator Ambulatory Surgery Center
Location: Athena Medtech
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Governing Board and Senior Leadership
Athena Medtech is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Administrator to oversee all aspects of the operational clinical and financial performance of our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence maintaining regulatory compliance and ensuring a superior patient experience while upholding Athena Medtechs commitment to quality and safety.
As the Administrator you will lead multidisciplinary teams foster strategic relationships with medical staff and ensure alignment with Athena Medtechs mission vision and business objectives.
Core Responsibilities Executive LeadershipDirect daily operations of the facility ensuring efficient delivery of surgical services.
Act as liaison among the Governing Board Medical Staff and departmental leadership.
Report facility performance and activities to the Governing Board on a routine basis.
Designate responsible leadership in the Administrators absence.
Implement long-term planning for services operations and growth.
Ensure full integration of USPIs EDGE operational framework and quality improvement initiatives.
Lead budget development and oversee financial performance including cost control and cash flow monitoring.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory and accrediting body standards.
Negotiate and manage external contracts (e.g. physician services vendors maintenance).
Manage purchasing strategy to align with budgetary goals and group purchasing agreements.
Lead Monthly Operations Review meetings with USPIs Home Office team.
Set and monitor procedure pricing based on market and cost analysis.
Conduct monthly staff meetings to communicate strategic priorities and updates.
Supervise all exempt and non-exempt employees including hiring performance reviews discipline and training.
Use staffing analytics tools (e.g. Staff Tracker) to ensure optimal staffing levels.
Oversee implementation of orientation job-specific training and ongoing professional development programs.
Promote a culture of accountability equity and continuous improvement.
Ensure clinical departments (e.g. nursing central supply medical records) meet quality and safety standards.
Work with the Medical Director and Medical Executive Committee to evaluate and expand surgical services.
Oversee management of contracted clinical services (e.g. lab radiology pharmaceuticals).
Ensure that all equipment is functional safe and properly maintained.
Develop and implement a targeted sales and marketing plan aligned with facility business goals.
Promote new service lines appropriate for ambulatory care settings.
Build strong community and physician relations to support service growth and patient referrals.
Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and serve on the Quality Improvement Committee.
Administer infection control protocols and facilitate medical staff quality reviews.
Track and analyze key performance indicators to identify and resolve quality-of-care issues.
Oversee practitioner credentialing and compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws.
Collaborate with the Medical Director to foster positive productive relationships with providers.
Ensure medical staff satisfaction and work closely to align services with physician and patient needs.
Represent the facility at corporate and administrative meetings.
Maintain professional affiliations and remain current with healthcare regulations and best practices.
Serve as a role model of professionalism confidentiality and patient-centered care.
Education:
Bachelors degree in healthcare administration business or nursing (required)
Masters degree in healthcare administration or related field (preferred)
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare management preferably in an ASC or hospital setting
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex healthcare operations
Certifications:
Valid state licensure or certification as required by role (e.g. RN license if applicable)
Certification in healthcare leadership or ASC management is a plus
