Job Description

Radiologic Technologist Diagnostic Radiology (Overnight Shift)
Department: Diagnostic Radiology
Location: Athena Medtech
Schedule: Tuesday Friday 22:00 08:30 4 days/week (10-hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 40
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
Position Type: Travel/Contract position available

Position Summary

Athena Medtech is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist to join our Diagnostic Radiology team on the overnight shift. This position is ideal for a self-sufficient imaging professional with strong technical skills and a focus on patient safety and comfort. The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images to support accurate medical diagnosis and treatment while maintaining compliance with all safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare examination rooms and imaging equipment in advance of procedures.

  • Accurately position patients and radiologic equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures.

  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and cooperation throughout.

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast materials when indicated in accordance with safety protocols.

  • Input scan parameters into imaging systems and monitor displays to adjust image quality density and contrast as needed.

  • Monitor patient condition during examinations to ensure safety and minimize radiation exposure.

  • Produce clear and diagnostically accurate radiographic images.

  • Communicate critical imaging findings to physicians and maintain up-to-date patient records.

  • Coordinate daily imaging schedules and prioritize emergency or urgent cases as needed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

  • ARRT certification or equivalent required.

  • Valid state license to practice (if applicable).

  • BLS certification required.

  • Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures anatomy radiation safety and quality control.

  • Excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
