About Facility:

o Outpatient Heart and Vascular Clinic

o 307 Yadkin St. Albemarle NC 28001

o Radius rule: Travelers permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Department Information:

o Census Average patients/day 7 patients scheduled daily with a no-show rate of approximately 20%

2 Machines - Phillips

o Minimum Years of Experience required 1 year as an Echo Tech

o Will you accept a first-time traveler Yes

Patient Population/Common Studies:

o Patient Population: Adult only 18

o Common studies: Trans Thoracic Echocardiography (TTE) Bubble studies (Saline Contrast study) Contrast TTE

Required License National Certification Certs (BLS ACLS etc.) or other position specific requirements such as Drivers License and/or Insurance:

o Current registry in Echocardiography

ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) OR CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)

o Is BLS required Yes

o Is NC State Licensure required No

Skills required:

o Should be experienced in adult echocardiography procedures

o Phillips experience (required)

o IV placement (preferred)

o Strain and 3D TTE experience (preferred)

Support within the Department:

o Department Leadership Supervisor and Manager

o Peer Sonographer

o (1) Cardiologist on site

o (1) RN on site

Technology/Equipment:

o EMR: EPIC

o Department specific Equipment: Phillips (required experience)

Floating:

o None

Orientation (facility and unit):

o 2 days dependent on skillset and experience

Scheduling:

o No weekends

o No call

o Holiday Expectations: No major holidays

o RTO: Manager approval

o Shift times: Monday-Friday - 7:00-1530

o Schedule cycle: will be consistent as above

o Scrub Color: Royal Blue top and Black bottom

o Parking: Free
