Senior Associate Change Risk Assessment - Program Management & Governance

As a Senior Associate in Capital Ones Enterprise Services (ES) Risk organization you will be on the forefront of ensuring that our business partners are delivering material initiatives in a well managed and responsible manner. In your role you will be responsible for program management and governance for the Change-Driven Risk Assessment (CDRA) team. The CDRA team is a key contributor to enhancing and driving our risk management framework for ESs strategic initiatives. Specifically in this position you will play a key role in driving the oversight organization execution monitoring reporting of key program areas within the team. You will also play a role in identifying enhancements and efficiencies to our processes. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with great communication skills and experience in program management process management and risk management. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to manage competing priorities collaborate with stakeholders to gain consensus communicate effectively to associates and senior leaders and drive problem-solving to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership and internal partners to create socialize and mobilize against the CDRA teams strategies and initiatives in a thoughtful way

  • Drive the governance and execution of the programs roadmap and help ensure timely deliverable of milestones and key imperatives

  • Support and lead multiple moderate to large horizontal priorities programs and special projects across the team concurrently

  • Connect dots across multiple leaders to understand and aggregate impacts to the business

  • Support the teams horizontal governance processes including recruiting budgeting reporting events planning training and communications

  • Oversight of reporting routines including support for monthly business reviews and ad hoc data requests

  • Resolution of escalations as well as further escalation as needed

  • Relationship management with stakeholders including holding ongoing check-ins to ensure that questions and concerns are addressed and that they remain supportive and engaged.

  • Partnership with leadership on the definition and implementation strategy efforts including education campaigns and process improvements to ensure that the program areas remain well-managed and efficient

  • Uphold the teams brand and reputation

  • Support interactions with Internal Audit and Regulatory agencies related to our work as applicable.

  • Participate in and execute other special projects for the team on a periodic basis.

  • Own and direct work across teams to ensure high quality on time delivery

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or military experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in project or process management or a combination

  • At least 2 years of experience supporting partnering and interacting with internal business clients

  • At least 2 years of experience planning and leading risk assessments or audits or a combination

  • At least 2 years of experience working with Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in program process or risk management or a combination

  • 3 years of experience in process controls process quality or audit management or a combination

  • 3 years of experience supporting partnering and interacting with internal business clients

  • 2 years of experience with JIRA or other Agile software solutions

  • PMP Lean Agile or Six Sigma certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean VA: $109000 - $124400 for Sr. Assoc Cyber Risk & Analysis


Richmond VA: $99100 - $113100 for Sr. Assoc Cyber Risk & Analysis


New York NY: $118900 - $135700 for Sr. Assoc Cyber Risk & Analysis









Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
