Job Description Summary
The Orchestra Manager serves as the principal administrative support for The Chapman Orchestra ( TCO ) working closely with the Director of Orchestral Studies to ensure the efficient operation of the ensemble. This position requires strong organizational skills clear communication and the ability to manage multiple projects throughout the academic year.
Responsibilities
Serve as the liaison between ensemble members and the Director of Orchestral Studies Assist the Director of Orchestral Studies with administrative tasks and special projects Coordinate and communicate rehearsal and performance logistics with faculty staff and external partners Help organize and run placement auditions for large ensembles during the summer Hire outside musicians as needed for orchestral performances Work with Musco Center staff on performance logistics as needed Delegate responsibilities to TCO staff and coordinate with the library team Assist librarian(s) in the preparation and distribution of orchestral materials Plan organize and implement special events such as the annual TCO Beach Bonfire Execute other duties as assigned by the Director of Orchestral Studies
Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
