Senior Data Migration & Integration Tester - Sydney - Hybrid
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Data Migration Tester with strong ETL and integration testing experience to join a critical enterprise project in its final stages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating large-scale data migrations from legacy systems into Microsoft Dynamics 365 with a deep understanding of ETL pipelines Azure data services and Agile delivery. This is a high-accountability role requiring a confident hands-on professional who can work across teams and systems with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data migration testing validating source-to-target mapping transformations and reconciliation using advanced SQL.
- Work closely with the data migration and ETL teams to verify extraction transformation and loading logic for structured and semi-structured datasets.
- Perform integration testing between D365 Azure Data Factory APIs and external interfaces to ensure business continuity and data quality.
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans including ETL validation interface testing data quality assurance and regression testing.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning stand-ups retrospectives and showcase sessions.
- Collaborate with business analysts developers and stakeholders to refine acceptance criteria and resolve defects promptly.
- Support dry runs mock cutovers and go-live readiness through test evidence issue tracking and business sign-offs.
Essential Criteria
- 5 years experience in ETL/data migration testing across enterprise platforms.
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance/SCM/CE) testing practices.
- Strong SQL skills for large dataset validation and transformation verification.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory Azure SQL APIs and integration tools.
- Practical exposure to DevOps CI/CD pipelines and working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Proven ability to communicate technical issues to business stakeholders and work across multi-disciplinary teams.
