Company : Series B Accel company (Health Tech / Consumer tech)
Location: Bangalore
About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Design Lead to spearhead our design team. In this role youll balance hands-on design work with leadership responsibilities setting quality benchmarks driving productivity and implementing best practices. You will directly contribute to crafting user-centric products that enhance patient and doctor experiences while fostering a culture of innovation creativity and excellence within the team. This role reports into the VP & Head of Products.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Design Evangelism:
- Drive the adoption of design best practices methodologies and processes tailored for health tech products.
- Establish evolve and maintain design standards and systems to ensure consistency and usability across healthcare solutions.
- Facilitate design reviews and provide actionable feedback to continuously elevate team performance and product quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends competitor products healthcare innovations and emerging design technologies to continuously enhance the teams capabilities.
2. Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of designers ensuring high-quality outputs and optimal throughput.
- Foster a collaborative and creative environment promoting innovation and professional growth within the team.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to team members helping them set and achieve professional development goals.
3. Individual Contribution:
- Operate effectively in an Individual Contributor (IC) capacity delivering exceptional product designs from concept to final .
- Collaborate closely with Product Engineering Clinical and Business stakeholders to translate healthcare objectives into user-centric design solutions.
- Advocate for users (patients clinicians healthcare providers) and ensure all designs prioritize user experience usability accessibility and clinical accuracy.
Skills we are looking for:
- 6-8 years of experience in product design with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role.
- Proven track record of designing intuitive visually appealing and impactful digital health products.
- Expertise in relevant design tools
- Deep understanding of UX principles user research methods interaction design and healthcare compliance considerations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to diverse stakeholders including clinical and technical teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment effectively prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Wireframing / Prototypes : Figma Sketch Adobe XD
- Design systems for scalability
- Usability Testing Tools
- Prototyping Tools: InVision or Marvel
- Wireframing Tools: Balsamiq to create low-fidelity wireframes
