As part of our ongoing mission to ensure patient safety and continuous improvement we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager of Quality to lead and enhance our quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Position Summary
The Manager of Quality will oversee all aspects of quality improvement and patient safety programs across the hospital. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (including The Joint Commission CMS and IDPH) managing quality reporting and metrics facilitating root cause analysis and performance improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of excellence throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development implementation and evaluation of hospital-wide quality and performance improvement programs.
Analyze clinical and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement in patient care safety and outcomes.
Coordinate accreditation and regulatory readiness activities including surveys and audits.
Partner with clinical leaders to ensure evidence-based practices are implemented and sustained.
Facilitate Root Cause Analyses (RCA) Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA) and other investigative and corrective action processes.
Manage and mentor a team of quality professionals ensuring alignment with hospital goals.
Serve as a subject matter expert in quality metrics benchmarking and best practices.
Present quality data and improvement outcomes to executive leadership medical staff and governing bodies.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
Current RN license in the State of Illinois strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare quality performance improvement or patient safety.
At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar certification preferred.
Strong working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards (TJC CMS IDPH).
Excellent communication leadership and analytical skills.
