Location: Fort Lauderdale FL 33315

Dayton-Granger Inc. a long-standing aerospace component manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Production Planner to join our team. This position plays a key role in coordinating production activities by building realistic constraint-based schedules that align with labor material and equipment availability. Youll collaborate across departments including production procurement engineering and quality to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required; preferred fields include Business Operations Supply Chain or Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning supply chain or logistics

  • Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Oracle Infor etc.)

  • Solid understanding of material and capacity planning principles

  • Ability to analyze and interpret multi-level BOMs

  • Effective communication skills across departments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments

  • Familiarity with constraint-based or finite capacity scheduling

  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices

  • Exposure to various manufacturing processes (machining assembly paint etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage daily and weekly production plans based on work orders forecasts and material availability

  • Collaborate with production supervisors buyers and engineering to align schedules with labor machine and tooling constraints

  • Monitor WIP status and adjust plans as needed to meet delivery targets

  • Identify potential bottlenecks and proactively address delays or shortages

  • Ensure ERP data accuracy for planned and released work orders

  • Support prototype builds and new product introductions with scheduling input

  • Communicate lead times and schedule updates to internal stakeholders

  • Participate in production meetings to resolve open issues and realign plans

  • Coordinate with Quality to ensure nonconforming material is dispositioned promptly

  • Assist with inventory management and annual physical inventory

  • Maintain key performance metrics such as on-time delivery and production throughput

  • Adhere to all DG safety procedures and promote operational discipline
