A unique andexciting opportunity has arisen within our Early Help and Prevention Service Family Matters for an experienced and passionate Team Leader to manage a team of Family Workers who deliver targeted support across Wirral.
Please note - This post is a 6-month job share with the successful candidate working only between April to September each year. Therefore this post is not required to commence employment in the role until April 2026. The salary advertised is for 52 weeks per year and so will therefore be pro-rated.
About the Role:
You will work closely within a team of managers supporting service delivery. A key element of the role is ensuring robust assessment of needs are completed in a timely way as well as family plans being led by the needs of the family and completed in a systemic style ensuring all elements of the family dynamic and composite are taken into consideration. Wirral are part of the pathways programme which has seen significant change to the way s17 is managed and for the first time practitioners other than social workers may lead on the support being implemented so it is vital that the successful candidate has strong experience working across the threshold of need and understands the legal framework that Childrens Services operates within.
About the Candidate:
Excellent communication both written and oral is expected of course as well as a compassionate and empathic approach to supporting staff who work with children suffering extreme trauma in some instances. IT skills should also be good and experience of the systems we use: Liquid logic and EHM are an advantage.
