The Building Great Neighbourhoods Branch and the Neighbourhood Renewal Program are the building blocks of a great city and invest in reconstructing neighbourhoods to enhance their livability and longevity. As a Project Coordinator in the Building Great Neighbourhoods Branch you will be responsible for the planning and design of neighbourhood transportation projects through the development of concept and preliminary designs. Our teams projects include planning and design for roads alleys and active transportation projects as well as low impact development and open space enhancements.

In this role you will apply your project management skills and technical knowledge to an exciting program of mature residential neighbourhoods projects that directly enhance the lives of Edmontonians. You will collaborate with various internal stakeholders and external consultants to deliver innovative solutions to projects of variable complexity. Throughout the development of your own projects and the support you provide to others your success will be measured by your ability to achieve timely results in a respectful inclusive and service-minded way.

What will you do:

A Bachelors Degree in a related field such as Engineering Landscape Architecture Communications & Engagement Urban Planning Recreation Administration Business or Project Management and a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible project coordination experience OR;

A Diploma in a related field such as Engineering Landscape Architecture Communications & Engagement Urban Planning Recreation Administration Business or Project Management and a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible project coordination experience

Up to 1 Permanent Full-time position; and 1 temporary full-time position for up to 11 months in accordance with Article 18.02 of the Collective Agreement


Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week

Salary: $43.098 - $54.113 (Hourly) / $75927 - $95333 Annually
Salary ranges are in the process of being updated in accordance with the recently ratified collective agreement between the City and CSU 52 and will be forthcoming shortly.
