Job Description
Were seeking an experienced Principal Technical Program Manager to lead our focus on transforming operational availability across Amazons fulfillment technology network. In this role youll own efforts to establish and maintain world-class availability standards driving improvements in prevention detection and recovery of operational incidents.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead cross-organizational initiatives to develop and implement automated availability metrics and monitoring systems
- Drive adoption of Operational Excellence (OE) best practices across multiple teams including LSE management dependency handling and software development standards
- Coordinate with senior leadership to establish and maintain a culture that prioritizes availability alongside cost efficiency
- Design and oversee implementation of automated decision-making and remediation systems to replace manual processes
- Partner with teams across Amazon who own 100s of tier1 services to standardize availability metrics and practices

- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 10 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 8 years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
