Pay Rate/Range: $15/hr
Description: Under the general direction of the Shelter Supervisor the Shelter Support Provider is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the shelter during the evening shift and providing direct support to residents in their day-to-day needs. This role ensures a safe respectful and structured environment while assisting clients in working toward their housing and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
Greet prospective clients and assess eligibility for shelter services. Admit clients according to established procedures and refer ineligible individuals to appropriate resources.
Supervise and assist residents with daily activities ensuring compliance with shelter guidelines. Document and report any violations.
Recommend and communicate guideline exceptions as needed to appropriate staff.
Collaborate with shelter staff to support residents housing plans and progress.
Manage the shelters daily routines and inventory. Ensure completion of assigned resident chores and other operational tasks.
Supervise and coordinate volunteers ensuring appropriate interactions with clients.
Receive and document donations and respond to shelter phone calls and inquiries professionally.
Complete daily documentation and shift logs accurately before end of shift.
Maintain a safe and secure facility escalating concerns to supervisors when appropriate.
Prepare rooms for new resident arrivals by cleaning and restocking as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:Valid Drivers license High school Diploma or GED and previous customer service experience.
Job Type: Contract-to-hire
Shift/Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 4:00pm-12:00am
