Being a member of our team will provide the opportunity for your contributions to be utilized and recognized across a large and vibrant community of researchers with close links to MIT Harvard and the Harvard-affiliated hospitals across Boston in the fields of genomics and neurodegenerative disease research.
The Macosko Lab at the Broad Institute is looking for a highly self-motivated individual with strong experience in molecular cellular and biochemical techniques. This role will support efforts to deliver high-resolution gene expression measurements from intact brain tissue for the labs Parkinsons Disease (PD) research aims. Our lab has developed various genomic technologies including our spatial transcriptomics technology called Slide-tags that enable the application of cutting-edge science on rare and precious human brain specimens. The candidate will be expected to learn these various techniques and protocols and apply to PD-related research aims.
Experience with basic techniques in molecular biology is required; some prior exposure to next-generation sequencing techniques basic fluorescence microscopy and cell culture are preferred. Prior laboratory experience is a pre-requisite.
