Oversees the Law Enforcement Accreditation Process for the Police Department; department liaison with the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA); assists staff in resolving quality assurance and accreditation non-compliance issues and findings; monitors measures designed to meet Commission Standards; completes updates and submits required reports documents and forms pursuant to applicable accreditation regulations and in accordance with department policy/procedure; maintains standards files for primary and secondary proofs of compliance; draft update and maintain department policies; prepare the department for accreditation/re-accreditation recognitions. Work is performed under the general direction of the Police Chief.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of training and experience which would provide required knowledge skills and abilities are qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
High school diploma or the equivalent; 3 years of experience with a criminal justice agency with a preference for law enforcement; experience in administration management or as an accreditation manager or team member with CFA or CALEA.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in criminal justice business public administration or a related field; 5 years of experience with a criminal justice agency with a preference for law enforcement experience; 1 year of experience in administration management or as an accreditation manager or team member with CFA or CALEA.
