A Brief OverviewResponsible for providing direction to staff and technical assistance to staff and management. Coordinate and assist in repairs and improvements to facilities and provide direction and input regarding physical plant and space requirements. Also responsible for operating systems and maintaining them on a daily basis.
What you will do
- Coordinates and conducts staff on-the-job training and orientation for departments under direct supervision.
- Assists with the collection and maintenance of records as needed by the Quality Assurance Department Joint Commission accreditation OSHA guidelines or as may be required by the law.
- Communicates with the staff frequently and reports feedback to leadership.
- Participates in staff assignments as needed to maintain efficiency within the Department.
- Coordinates the scheduling process and maintains appropriate staffing levels to maximize department efficiency.
- Comprehends and interprets Avera policies and procedures and instructs staff appropriately for compliance purposes.
- Provides input for the development of the annual budget (i.e.) capitol equipment).
- Maintains clinical competence in order to serve as a resource to the staff which may include but not be limited to: (a) performing a broad variety of general duties (b) maintaining daily log of activities and (c) responds to all emergency codes and security requests.
- Responsibilities include interviewing hiring developing training and retaining employees; planning assigning and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Education License/Certification or Work Experience:
- High School or GED Equivalent ; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Drivers License - Licensing Board and
- Special Engineer - Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry Class C
