We are seeking a Safety Manager to join our Safety team The Safety Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining comprehensive safety programs. This role ensures compliance with OSHA regulations while supporting a culture of safety excellence through effective program execution and continuous improvement. This role will have a strong field presence providing real-time guidance mentorship and oversight to teams while maintaining strong safety performance across the region.

The Role

  • Implement and maintain corporate safety policies procedures and programs in accordance with organizational standards OSHA regulations and industry best practices
  • Execute and oversee safety audits inspections and investigations across multiple sites
  • Respond to and investigate safety incidents near-misses and accidents implementing immediate corrective actions
  • Document site safety observations violations and next steps in internal safety management system
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Ensure compliance with location-specific safety regulations and maintain organizational adherence to state and federal requirements
  • Act as liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections and maintain positive relationships with Cal/OSHA representatives
  • Execute emergency response procedures and maintain emergency preparedness for high-risk activities
  • Supervise site safety representatives and partner with local operations teams to provide coaching and mentorship of personnel on proper safety procedures
  • Participate in the management of workers compensation cases including incident investigations and return-to-work programs
  • Support new project startups with safety orientation and site-specific safety planning
  • Ensure compliance with safety reporting requirements and standards
  • Travel throughout assigned region to support multiple project sites and teams
  • Supervise mentor and support field safety team members
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in safety management with 1-2 years in telecommunications or construction industry
  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Industrial Safety Construction Management or related field preferred
  • CSP ASP GSP CHST ARM or NATE certifications a plus
  • OSHA 500 or 510 preferred
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certified
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA DOT NFPA & NESC regulations labor laws and telecommunications/construction industry safety standards
  • Experience with safety management software and data analytics
  • Experience implementing safety programs
  • Proven track record of successful safety program implementation and maintenance
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
  • Multi-state safety program management experience
  • Ability to travel /- 50% annually and availability for emergency responses as needed
  • Valid drivers license
  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR Background Check Drug Screen)
