Job Type:Full-time temporary 3 year contract (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: $48600 - 550000 annually

What youll be doing:

Partnership Development and Collaboration

  • Developing new employer contacts via cold calls and other networking methods.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with youth-serving organizations educational institutions and employment support agencies to expand the talent pool available to employer partners.
  • Attending inter-agency and community partner meetings to represent the program and identify strategic collaboration opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of partner contacts meetings and shared initiatives using the case management system (i.e. Efforts to Outcomes (ETO)).
  • Collaborating with partners to align program goals support joint events and identify opportunities for shared outreach training or service delivery.
  • Serving as the primary liaison between employers and youth-serving organizations ensuring effective communication and streamlined referral processes.
  • Sharing employer partner job opportunities with their network of youth-serving organizations to increase access for youth participants and maximize application opportunities.

Employer Outreach & Support

  • Conducting proactive outreach to identify recruit and onboard inclusive-minded employer clients.
  • Providing one-on-one coaching and consultation to employers on inclusive hiring practices youth engagement and workplace accommodations.
  • Designing and delivering customized training sessions and presentations to the employers teams on topics such as accessibility inclusive onboarding youth engagement and retention.
  • Developing practical tools job aids and resources to help employers build internal capacity and implement sustainable inclusion practices.
  • Acting as a liaison between employers and a dynamic pipeline of youth job seekers referred by community partners.
  • Working with employers to identify appropriate tasks and roles carve out tasks (job carving) assess employers staffing needs advise appropriate recruiting strategies support advertising and recruitment of positions.
  • Advising employers on appropriate screening selection and interview methods.
  • Conducting program evaluation by collecting feedback from employers and other stakeholders.
  • Working with employers after roles have been filled to support onboarding orientation ongoing training retention and growth.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and provide statistical information as requested
  • Completing reports in the ETO database and on program tracking forms.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation of all employer interactions outreach efforts and partnership development.

Program Promotion & Events

  • Planning and facilitating events that promote the program and celebrate the achievements of youth and employer partners (e.g. job fairs recognition events awareness campaigns).
  • Organizing networking opportunities that foster direct connections between youth job seekers and inclusive employers.
  • Collaborating with the marketing and program team to promote events secure participation and share success stories.

    What you bring to the table:

    • Post-secondary education in business community development social work human resources or a related field.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience working with employers and/or in workforce development employment services or business/community engagement roles.
    • Experience working with persons with disabilities and/or youth facing barriers is required.
    • Demonstrated understanding of the unique employment barriers faced by youth (e.g. limited work experience mental health challenges systemic discrimination etc.)
    • Experience designing and delivering presentations workshops or training to diverse audiences.
    • Experience in outreach relationship-building or employer engagement.
    • Familiar with inclusive hiring practices and the principles of accessibility equity and youth inclusion.
    • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
    • Must pass a Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Search.
    • Valid Class 5 Drivers License and access to reliable transportation.
    • Comfortable speaking in public and facilitating employer sessions or networking events.
    • Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships across sectors.
    • Independent self-starter who is comfortable working with minimal supervision.
    • Proactive creative thinker with a solutions-oriented mindset.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database tools (e.g. case management systems ETO).
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to track and document activities outcomes and contacts accurately.
    • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities meet deadlines and support other program areas as needed.
    • Previous experience in business development an asset.
    • Superior oral and written communication skills networking and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

    Working Conditions

    • Works at various employer sites as well as in an office environment.
    • Required to drive in all types of weather conditions to get to various locations within the City and surrounding areas.
    • Business Casual office environment.
