Description

Vertiv is hiring a Warehouse Manager in Lincoln NE to manage internal logistics from receiving materials and related documentation through all internal flows including storage in internal and external warehouses to the shipment of final products.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

  • Organization of warehouse activities in 3 buildings and aligning a structure
  • Organizing warehouse deliveries coordinating trucks monitoring deliveries from X docks suppliers and KANBAN deliveries
  • Communication with DHL and the logistics manager
  • Managing discrepancies during receiving
  • Organizing material stocking and managing storage locations
  • Setting up/implementing 2 Bins Kanban and Milk Run management
  • Managing cycle counts and discrepancy resolution
  • Monitoring stock levels in the warehouse based on the physical state of materials
  • Establishing material flows based on slow-moving items and unused material analysis
  • Coordinating waste management in collaboration with the EHS department
  • Managing scrap locations
  • Coordinating external warehouses
  • Implementing Red Bins in the warehouse
  • Ensuring information flow between the warehouse and production
  • Managing Kanban Red Bin and Milk Run processes
  • Managing internal transportation
  • Overseeing material receipt from the warehouse
  • Ensuring material delivery to production lines
  • Managing workshop waste to designated areas
  • Ensuring visualization of material management in production
  • Managing spare parts and accessories
  • Packaging finished goods
  • Managing discrepancies
  • Managing cycle counts in the DHL warehouse
  • Overseeing action plans for discrepancies in collaboration with the finance department and DHL
  • Monitoring the closure of work orders and communicating with production
  • Collaborating with DHL the logistics department and inventory analysts
  • Performing NC analyses and implementing corrective and preventive action plans
  • Carrying out all other tasks related to the agreed type of work as directed by the immediate supervisor
  • Adhering to procedures rules and principles of the integrated management system
  • Working in compliance with ITC international trade rules
  • Contributing to the development and adherence to standards focusing on key areas such as customer satisfaction company culture and continuous improvement
  • Submitting improvement suggestions aligned with corporate goals as part of the continuous improvement system
  • Respecting environmental protection principles

Qualifications:

Required/ Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing and logistics.
  • University degree in a technical or economic field.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient user of Windows and MS Office.
  • Proficient user of MRP systems.
  • Experience in problem-solving and project management.
  • Knowledge of lean tools.
  • Strong analytical skills problem-solving ability excellent presentation and communication skills and capability for conceptual and long-term planning.
  • Proficient knowledge of the English language.
