Job Description
Travel Nurse Navigator / RN - Oncology Contract Role
- Location: Cambridge MA 02138
- Shift: Day Shift(8) - 8:00 start
- Guaranteed: 40 Hours
- Weekly Pay: $2600 - $2800
- Coordinate and manage care for a defined patient population (e.g. patients receiving oral chemotherapy).
- Evaluate and assess patients manage scheduling coordinate consultations and treatments to ensure seamless progression of care.
- Act as the point of contact for new patients offering a supportive and professional welcome to Mount Auburn Hospital (MAH).
- Serve as a clinical liaison between the patient and interdisciplinary team to ensure quality coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families on chemotherapy and immunotherapy regimens side effect management and overall treatment expectations.
- Support patients emotionally and provide advocacy throughout the cancer care continuum.
- Facilitate patient navigation through the healthcare system and ensure timely access to care and resources.
- Collaborate with physicians infusion nurses and the broader care team to ensure individualized patient care plans are executed efficiently.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to concerns or complications proactively.
- Assist in developing and maintaining evidence-based navigation protocols and education materials.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required
License/Certification:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required
- ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification Preferred or must obtain within 2 years of hire
- Oncology Nursing Certification (ONC) Preferred or must obtain within 2 years of hire
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in an oncology setting Preferred (willing to train qualified candidates)
- Prior experience as an oncology nurse navigator or infusion nurse Required.
