We are looking for a Dynatrace Observability / APM Architect (with Active Dynatrace Certifications) for our DIRECT client in Washington DC. It is a 12 month contract position.

The Dynatrace Solution Architect will be actively involved in the implementation of a state-of-the-art Unified Enterprise Observability across Amtrak digital technologies assets services applications and operations.
The candidate will play a key role in
- the design and implementation of a unified end-to-end observability framework with Disaster Recovery capability supporting Software Delivery Application/Service performance Application Security Threat Observability Digital Experience and Business Analytics.
- implementing Dynatrace Configuration as Code via Terraform to fully automate configuration of the platform including alerts and dashboards.
- developing robust scalable automated and efficient CI/CD pipelines to deploy the solutions and to migrate existing applications from the current monitoring platforms (AppDynamics Elastic/Logstash/Kibana) to the new (Dynatrace) observability platform Open Telemetry data integration implementing integrations with network and security monitoring tools notification tools and ServiceNow.
- Expert on Dynatrace and all facets of advanced Observability with 5 years of proven experience actively leveraging the Dynatrace Platform to implement large scale enterprise-wide observability solutions.
- Experience in similar technologies such as AppDynamics ELK and Datadog is a plus.

- Dynatrace Administration Professional
- Dynatrace Implementation Professional
- Dynatrace Advanced Observability Specialist
- Demonstrated experience in scripting languages - Python YAML etc.
- Experience with DevSecOps using CI/CD pipelines. Experience in Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code using tools like Ansible Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Must have strong background in SAFe Agile and Kanban methodologies and tools.
- Must have experience utilizing the ITIL Framework in compliance with the corporate infrastructure processes standards including Change and Incident Management Disaster Recovery and Security/Government regulatory requirements.
- Must have excellent written and presentation skills to develop architecture design and process documents and share knowledge with team members.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- This role requires working outside normal business hours on occasion.
The consultant will play a key role in developing
- architecture design patterns principles and best practices.
- proof-of-concept initiatives to assess the feasibility of solutions
robust scalable and efficient CI/CD pipelines using code-based tools
