Job Description
We are actively seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join our growing team in East Chicago IN. This role focuses on the repair and maintenance of construction equipment hydro excavating equipment bucket trucks and dump trucks critical to our operations. Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced diagnostics and repair work on heavy equipment including bulldozers excavators backhoes front loaders air compressors utility trailers and more.
Execute scheduled services and inspections to maximize equipment lifespan and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical hydraulic and electrical issues with precision and efficiency.
Replace and install worn or damaged parts in accordance with OEM standards.
Maintain clear detailed records of all maintenance activities and repairs.
Conduct post-repair testing to ensure machinery is operating at peak performance and safety standards.
Requirements:
Solid background in heavy equipment repair with strong knowledge of diesel engines hydraulics and electrical systems.
Proven ability to identify and resolve issues using diagnostic tools and schematics.
Proficiency in basic welding and fabrication is preferred.
Must supply your own tools.
Ability to handle physically demanding work in various environments.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record. CDL preferred but not a requirement.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Compensation & Benefits:
$30 $42/hr based on experience
