Job Title: Network Security Engineer
Job Length: 5 Years (Start date TBD upon Purchase Order issuance)
Work Location: Hybrid 3 days on-site 2 days remote (may switch to 2 days on-site / 3 days remote after 6 months)
On-site Location: Annapolis MD
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Design install and maintain secure 24x7 network operations
- Perform project-based engineering and design for secure data networks
- Troubleshoot critical problems related to network security
- Assist in capacity planning and monitoring of secure networks
- Lead migration to next-gen security technologies
- Implement change management and SOPs for secure network solutions
- Coordinate activities with team members to resolve end-user issues
- Generate weekly status reports and host regular meetings
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in IT-related field
- Active Certifications:
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise or Security)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in IT-related field
- 10 years of IT networking and security experience
- Certifications:
- Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE)
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE Enterprise or Security)
Additional Experience With:
- Palo Alto firewalls VPNs DLP TLS/SSL inspection
- Cisco routing switching wireless
- A10 Networks (Reverse Proxy Load Balancing)
- Network Access Control (Cisco ISE Free Radius ACLs)
- Multifactor authentication PKI Certificate Management
- Cloud networking/security 802.1x authentication
- Nessus NMAP Unix/Linux security
- Tools: Panorama SolarWinds Wireshark Riverbed
- Working in enterprise data centers and 24/7 environments
- Technical documentation and mentoring junior associates
